1970s
Valerie Nieman (BSJ, 1978) will published her fifth novel, “In the Lonely Backwater,” with Regal House/ Fitzroy Books.
1980s
Jeffrey Halpern (BSJ, 1981 ) was named the SVP, group creative director at Havas Health & You in New York, New York. The company just launched the first long-term injectable PrEP option for reducing the chance of contracting HIV. Now, people have the option of an every 2-month injectable dosing rather than a daily oral option.
Carole Tarrant (BSJ, 1986) was named the coordinator of development at Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation Inc. in Roanoke, Virginia.

2000s
Stephanie Potter (BSJ, 2012) has accepted the position
of vice president of brand of ValleyStar Credit Union. She will
develop and execute the brand vision across all channels while aligning
messages to target audiences and business objectives. Potter joined
ValleyStar in 2016 as the marketing coordinator and diligently worked
from entry-level to senior management. She was fundamental in leading
the marketing and communication
efforts through merger and acquisition growth years that helped shape
the current brand. She used extensive data analysis and consumer
behavior studies to create a data-driven marketing team that has
been presented with numerous awards under her management, including
a local Gold ADDY Award from the American Advertising Federation.
Mara Lambert (BSJ, 2014, MS IMC, 2019) accepted the position of senior communications representative with Mountaineer Gas Company, the largest natural gas company in the state. She is responsible for all internal and external communications and works out of the corporate office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Kelsey Reed-Bowen (M.S. IMC, 2019) is the enrollment marketing manager at Lark Health.
2020s
Lora Cate Parker ( M.S. IMC, 2021) is the retail marketing communications specialist for Clayton Homes in Knoxville, Tennessee.
